About the client and role
Our client is a global mobility manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of their team and oversee all aspects of the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Detailed planning and tracking of project activities.
- Supplier and team steering.
- Technical Risk and Change Control management.
- Management of error analysis and troubleshooting activities if required.
- Preparing responses to RFQs and RFPs from different clients, including technical solutions, execution strategies, cost and effort estimation, etc. by coordinating with organisational experts
- Educating the client on the RFQ/RFP requirements.
- Creating a “Proposal Defense” deck and showing it to clients.
- Producing technical reports and other presentation materials to share information across the organisation and discuss problems, successes, and technical information for project assessments.
- Ensuring smooth functioning, removing/escalating roadblocks, and other obstacles.
- Interacting with other disciplines to get and offer assistance.
- Dealing with clients and coordinating technical aspects of the project at hand.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good knowledge of automotive development processes.
- Overview of the relevant production processes.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification.
- Minimum 3 Years Experience in technical presales management and project management.
- German (minimum C1 level) and English business fluency.
- Working knowledge of automotive OEMs.
- Proven track record of managing or leading interdisciplinary or multicultural teams.
- Technical knowledge of connectivity technologies, such as Head Unit, Digital Cluster, HUD, and BCM, as well as automotive control unit (ECU) and connectivity technologies.
