About the client and role

Our client is a battery supplier, they are in search of a Senior Sales Manager. You will be tasked with leading sales efforts, building key account relationships, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison and trusted advisor, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and procurement professionals
  • Understand the business goals, produce product roadmaps, and market dynamics to pinpoint areas for collaboration, partnership, and revenue growth
  • Formulate and implement strategic account plans to boost market share, and foster mutual long-term value
  • Direct all phases of the sales cycle, from prospecting, negotiation to contract finalization
  • Identify and pursue fresh business prospects, leveraging personal networks, industry acumen, and market insights
  • Collaborate with internal teams
  • Anticipate potential hurdles and work closely with cross-functional teams to swiftly resolve them
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive actions, and regulatory shifts in the automotive battery and electric vehicle landscape, offering timely insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making
  • Identify emerging opportunities and potential threats in the market and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Develop and maintain precise sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to gauge progress against targets and guide resource allocation and strategic direction
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • 8-10 years’ experience in automotive sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on battery technologies
  • Proven success in complex sales cycles, meeting revenue targets, ideally with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. Deep understanding of automotive battery technologies, including lithium-ion batteries and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at influencing decision-makers and negotiating agreements
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving sales growth and exceeding customer expectations.
