About the client and role
Our client is a global leading Tier 1 automotive supplier. Is looking for a Product Line Director to be responsible for business development, R&D, Project, Quality and Purchasing within the platform.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will be responsible for Business Development, R&D, Project, Quality, and Purchasing within the platform.
- They will be responsible for the product road map in alignment with the product line strategy to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the platform R&D footprint and budgets aligned to the company strategy.
- They will be responsible for allocating the appropriate resources according to the budgets.
- Responsible for the development of serial, customer, and advanced projects.
- The candidate will be responsible for business development activities within the platform.
- The candidate should take full ownership of the sales, order intakes, costs, and headcount.
Skills and Qualifications
- The ideal candidate must come from an Automotive Tier 1 within the Infotainment, Telematics, or ADAS space.
- Looking for someone must have a strong technical background with a focus on systems or software development.
- The candidate must have experience of the entire automotive life cycle from conceptualisation to SOP + 6 months.
- The candidate must have a strong team spirit being able to lead/motivate teams to drive success.
- The ideal candidate must be hands on and happy to treat it as if it is their own business.
- The person must be humble and personable to fit in with Valeo’s company culture.
- The candidate must have fluent/native German language skills.
- Candidates from a Product Manager OR Program Manager background are preferred.
