About the client and role
Our client a global manufacturing company is looking for Account Manager to oversee projects and business relationships with assigned accounts, exceeding customer’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- To prepare the commercial price negotiation and approval for the strategy
- Oversee the commercial file process and ensure it has been updated onto the program and is documented internally
- Develop new business plans with a ROI in mind
- Oversee customer quotations specifically in regard to cost breakdowns
- Understand program costs and the bill of material
- Develop roadmaps for cost and financials to meet price and company targets
- Work with a variety of manufacturing processes and related costs (stamping, welding, assembly, etc.)
- Negotiate pricing and set costings for suppliers
- Direct involvement in spending and recoveries for all applicable areas.
- Be on hand to complete other duties when required
Skills and Qualifications
- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in account management (Stamping, Welding & Assembly)
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive account management, ideally in seating.
- Understand and be able to calculate Financial Measures (ROS, ROA, IRR, etc.)
- Have some experience and exposure to US and European OEM’s.
- Be able to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers.
- Good Leadership, program management and technical capacity is preferred.
